The Krk Island Cookbook is a handy book of recipes created in collaboration with renowned local chefs working in hotels and restaurants on Krk Island.

Krk or the Golden Island, as it's been known since antiquity due to its pleasant climate and abundance of sunny days - has become a favorite destination for a legion of tourists. Its beautiful nature, historical sites, and plentiful culinary delights factor prominently in its tourist offer.

Traditional local dishes made with high-quality, seasonal, island-grown produce play an especially important role on the menus of our local catering facilities, alongside regularly featured international dishes. Kvarner shrimp, Krk lamb, fresh fish, olive oil, prosciutto, sheep cheese, wine, honey, and wild herbs are the heroes of Krk cuisine.

By publishing this cookbook, we wanted to spotlight the importance of a culinary experience on our island. Inspired by traditional Krk cuisine and the abundance of flavor contained in locally-grown seasonal ingredients, the 50 recipes contained in this book were presented and shared with us by chefs from some of Krk's catering establishments, who have breathed a new life and creativity into our traditional dishes. The dishes presented in this cookbook are a glimpse into the abundant offer of our island's hotels and eateries.

On its 112 pages, the cookbook contains delectable recipes that will take you on a journey through the island's food culture and its delicacies.
