Tuna à la Kvarner



Ingredients

for 4 – preparation time 20 minutes

  • 800 g tuna fish
  • 40 ml olive oil
  • 100 g tomatoes
  • 1/2 lemon
  • salt and pepper

Side dish:

  • 800 g Swiss chard
  • 600 g potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 20 g parsley
  • salt and pepper

Garlic sauce:

  • 40 ml olive oil
  • 30 g garlic
  • 20 g parsley

Preparation

Descale and gut the tuna, then wash and debone. You can also buy premade tuna steaks. Tenderize the fish meat with a mallet, add salt and pepper, coat with olive oil, and sprinkle with lemon juice.

Clean, wash, and cook the chards in boiling salted water.

Peel and wash the potatoes, cut them into larger pieces, and boil in salted water.

Wash the tomatoes, slice them thickly, and season with salt, pepper, and oil.

Grill the marinated steaks and tomato slices on an oiled griddle until they acquire a nice color.

Add salt and pepper to the cooked chards and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle the boiled potatoes with salt, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with parsley.

On a plate, arrange the tuna steaks, chards, potatoes, and tomatoes and serve with garlic sauce.
