Ingredients
- 500 g flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 50 g sugar
- 20 g butter or oil
- 150 – 200 ml milk
- 20 g yeast
- 30 ml rakia (fruit brandy)
- 80 g raisins
- lemon zest
- salt
- oil or baking grease
- sugar for sprinkling
Preparation
In lukewarm milk, melt the yeast with a bit of sugar and allow it to slightly rise.
In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, eggs, sugar, dried raisins, melted butter, brandy, and lemon zest.
Add the yeast, mix to combine well, and let it rise for another 45 minutes.
Using a tablespoon, take out spoonfuls of the batter (these are your fritulas) and drop them into hot oil or fat to deep fry.
Serving
Sprinkle with sugar.
