Kroštule (Angel Wings)



Ingredients

  • 0.5 kg flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • 50 g fat
  • salt as needed

Preparation

Combine the ingredients to form a dense dough. Roll the dough and cut it into various shapes, deep fry in fat or oil until the dough turns golden in color, and drain well of the fat.

Sprinkle the pastries with sugar.

Serving

Serve hot or cold. The Kroštule pastry is usually enjoyed in winter, during Mesopust or the festival season.
